the problem is that a lot of the good folks around here act as is we should apologize and make excuses for LSU being 6-0
OK .. I'll have to put some of my geek out on you. Development always goes in a distribution curve. Once the top of the curve is reached, there is nowhere left to go but down. Just ask Alabama .. they are experiencing that downward slide as we speak. Poor poor Mcelroy experienced his first loss since middle school. It's open season on the Tide, and nobody is going to be afriad of beating them between now and the end of the season. The point .. LSU is on the upward, ie., progressing, side of the curve. That is the joy of watching this team .. the progression. Last week, as pathetic as it was, was better than the week before, and this week against FL was better than last week. The odds are that LSU is nowhere near our full potential, and being as we are progressing, it's quite possible LSU could be opening up a nice long win streak at the right time. IF we beat Auburn, I don't think Bama is going to be much of a challenge, and I think AR is done. I'm not going to be suprised to see this LSU team in the SEC CG. Sure .. we ain't got no "superstars" that the mediaheads are all gaga about ... but a "team" will beat an individaul everytime. :geaux:
King, I just want to say that in all seriousness.... This is my favorite ongoing joke so far. I love it. The Agendanites. Secondly, to those talking about a "poorly coached team". I have only seen the playcalling being not so hot. Also, the first few games the receivers were not on board, then JJ wasn't. Now it seems to be clicking with everyone. But if you're gonna lump the "TEAM" together, let's remember one thing. We have a nasty defense. Just plain brutal. Play to win. All 4 quarters. That's not poorly coached. And if everything else falls on Miles' head, then the defense should be credited to him also. Also, the Special Teams are very good. They got rocked last night, but it was only that game. Stop taking away the good things from Miles. And don't ever down the defense again. (Cause you did, you just don't know it).
First off... you joined in and without any introduction just spewed off a bunch of garbage about Les Miles. Then have the nerve to say that you didn't "come here to offend" or "rain on the parade". You don't have to make ME feel better... I feel fine. The Tigers are 6-0 and they'll be 7-0 after next week. You're like those other people who jumped in this thread JUST to say that it's a stupid thread. And you call yourself a FAN??? Listen fella... post what you want, I don't care. I'm just making a point here... a FAN posted his reaction to a win that was a win despite ALL the negativity of late. No one said anything about erasing any "mind boggling idiocy" (as you put it). Point is... there is plenty of negative crap out there already... there is no need to invade a positive thread to pile on more. If you really do support the Tigers, then you should understand this.
I dont have a clue how your post has anything to do with what i was saying? Iw was replying to the tigertap guy. Yes i feel like this teams football is ahead of them. But if you think the rest of the teams on our schedule is going to be that easy you dont know much football. This is the SEC and you better be ready every single week. I dont look past our next game. Mcneese is my focus and i will worry about the others when we play them. This team is so close to putting it all together. I would love it to be Auburn and Bama where it all comes together. We are heading in the right direction. Lets all get on the same page and support this team and coaches and enjoy the ride.
Please list all the instances of luck that Miles was the benefit of in THIS game and please don't list the fake field goal. The fake was a play he called, his team practiced, and his team executed perfectly...there was zero "luck" involved in that play.
I agree. However, I'll say that the bounce was pretty lucky  One hopper that didn't shoot away from where it was supposed to be. Besides, I wouldn't call it luck. More like fortunate.
Just to be clear, it does not matter if the ball moves forward once the ball bounces, the only thing that matters is that the over-the-head toss does not travel forward.
You're missing my point. I'm on your side. Actually just kinda makin light of it all. But, truthfully, it was awesome that it bounced the way it did (not that it was forward backward or where), and not on the tip and out of bounds or into somebody where it becomes a scrum for the ball. But actually bounced upright onto the groud and back up where Jasper was striding. Pretty outstanding... And very fortunate.
