Set the TIVO to stop recording at least 1 hour after the scheduled time. I can not tell you how many times I recorded a game and it went longer than scheduled and TIVO did not record the end.

I'm completely the opposite. If I'm recording a game, I want to avoid the score like the plague so I can wath it 'fresh'. It's no different than watching it live if you have no clue wtf happened.

Last time I tried this was at a family reunion for the Vanderbilt game. I stayed outside the whole time because they were watching the game, but everytime someone scored or a play was made, my obnoxious in-law would run outside and shout the score or result. I finally told him to stfu after haltime..but I should have known better than to attend a reunion in the first place heh.

I've got the same exact problem...Daughter's final soccer game is Sat. at 3pm. If I tape it, I'd have to wait for the whole 2nd half to play before I could watch. My solution: I've got Sirius in the truck with the FM transmitter. Luckily for me, the field she's playing on I can sit 10 feet from my truck. Walkman time! Listen to 1st half, watch the 2nd after I get home. Technology can be a wonderful thing.

BTW, I think it's about time the LSU sports network got an affiliate in DFW.

Call the WWL telephone number I listed for last week's game. If you have free weekends and roaming you should be able to listen to the game, assuming you don't kill your battery.

I feel your pain about Saturday, but I have a worse problem that just popped up. The Christmas formal for my husband's real estate team in on the night of the SECCG. I'm so ticked off!

My GF wanted me to take her and her mother out this Sat. The answer was "nope". She (laughing) said, "So Alabama football is more important than me?"
