But he's right. If you're against murder then abortion which is clearly murder should have punishment if it's illegal. But they are always looking for gotcha moments with trump and hes too arrogant to shut up.
if abortion were illegal, it would probably mean that the illegal act was doing the abortion, not having it done to you. The doctor is the one doing the killing.
But the mother is not only an accessory but a principal to the act. Hiring a doctor to perform an abortion is the same as hiring a hit man to whack your enemies.
I think what we have uncovered from this controversy is that even the Christian Right doesn't really think that way.
If I were trump I would have tripped up over that as well. I get the impression trump has literally never thought about it before.
