I have bought reduced sale steaks but only if they are still red. I won't buy any meat that has turned grey.

But I wonder how Dollar Tree can sell any piece of meat they can call a ribeye for a dollar and make a profit.

One time I bought a ball that was supposed to be a "floater." First time I used it it went right into a pond at City Park and sunk

Green meat won't hurt you, just make sure it doesn't need a shave

They don't show my favorite, Heinz 57. Heinz 57 sauce is very versatile in creating other sauces. I use it as an ingredient for making a sauce I use to barbecue shrimp. I don't use it on a good steak but for a chopped beef hamburger steak its great.

You saved yourself. For a minute I thought I was going to have to tell you to read it again.

I know of a store that was selling T bones but cutting out the filet on the back side. :)

I like steak sauce on mine.

How far can we take that school of thought? If you find the taste so good why even season it?

There are probably people that say you shouldn't use tartar sauce on fish or cocktail sauce on shrimp. Fugg 'em. A good steak doesn't need sauce, but I like a bit of melted butter and a shot of Worcestershire on it anyway sometimes. A poor steak needs some Heinz 57 and so does a poor meatloaf. I will sauce any damn thing I please.

But nobody, I mean nobody, should put ketchup on a steak.
