Most media sources I've found online have mentioned that a decision could come as early as today? Is that realistic on both Miami and Saban's part? I mean, did Miami cross all of their "t's" and dot their "i's" on the whole minority thing?? I hope so because I want this thing decided on now!

Nick's original plan is all too obvious now.

He was going to coach the bowl game, then bolt to the Dolphins shortly thereafter. In the meantime, the Dolphins would interview a couple of black coaches.

But the plan to keep LSU fans in the dark blew up when some dumb**** on the Dolphins leaked last week's meeting with Saban.

What's funny is that Nick and the Dolphins are trying to salvage the original plan as best they can. "I wish the Dolphins would wait until after the bowl game to make a decision," says Nick. "Our meeting was just an informal chat," say the Dolphins. LOL.

Leave NOW, Nick. You are hurting us.

I think make up your mind now Nick would be more appropriate. I think he is probably gone but until he is I hold a thread of hope that he stays. He does need to get this thing over with for the good of the team and program that he says he loves so much.

Hey, if you don't care if we keep Saban, than I guess you can want him to make a quick decision due to getting one good recruiting class. I'd much rather he take his time and make the right decision for him. That is my only concern. Hell, this recruiting class is not all that important relative to how important him making the correct decision is, especially if that decision ends up being to come back.

It's more than just one recruiting class, it's also coaches signing new contracts and taking other jobs taking them off the list of available coaches. I'm not a Spurrier fan but how many here wish we would have had a shot at him? We will not be the only team looking for a new coach and usually the best get snatched up quickly. JMHO.

Lou Holtz definitely did USC right by stepping aside and letting them land Spurrier before anyone else could get to him. Nothing wrong with being a fan of Saban, but I for one am a fan of LSU and my loyalty is with the university. Coaches come and go, but LSU will still be here. I want LSU to be given the best opportunity to be successful on the football field, and dragging out this process doesn't do that.

How many great coaches are not tied up right now? Name em. Davis and who else? So, if Saban has really not made up his mind yet, do you really want him to make a decision? I would much rather have him take his time, really think it through. I don't want him rushing through this decision and deciding to stay unless he is absolutely positive. Maybe the rush to make that decision last year is part of the reason he is going through this again. And I don't want him leaving and finding out later if had more time to decide that he would have chosen to stay. Just my opinion as well. But I can tell you I want the best coach in our history, the man that brought us back from the doom and gloom years of unspeakable darkness to have every chance possible to make a good decision and hopefully that would be to stay at LSU.

I never said I wanted him to leave just that the longer it drags on the worse it will be for LSU if he does indeed decide to leave. I don't think there is much of an argument against that point. I don't disagree with anything you said but yes I want him to make a decision very soon.
