Does the USC win yesterday dampen the Sugar bowl?

    Let's not loose track...

Like all of us LSU fans, I would have loved for Michigan to beat the $hit out of USC, but they didn't and quite frankly USC played a monster game. The USC defense was inspired and their offense which is quite good was on its game. There's no question about it, the Sugar Bowl would have been much sweeter had Michigan won, but let's not loose track... I can't remember a better year to be a tiger fan.

The one game we lost this year may have been a turning point for the Tiger Team that taught just how important focus is. The LSU team grew every game after Florida, I even think that Ole Miss was a great game ? we were up against a truly inspired team and beat them!

Win or loose the Sugar Bowl, it's just a game, but a game I want to thoroughly enjoy as I have the entire season.

    Excellent post Roy.

As a USC alum, I always felt LSU was the team that got the screw job. It should have been LSU and USC for all the marbles. Am I rationalizing, you bet. But we felt we were #1 and got to play a traditional Rose Bowl where many more of our fans could attend, etc., etc. It don't get much better than that.

I expected USC to win and felt it would have to take SOME of the glitter off this game. That being said, LSU IS in the BCS game, and all I've got to say is Geaux Tigers and win the National Championship. Hell, it's been 25 years since our last MNC, and that one was "shared" but it doesn't diminish the accomplishment. It will even give us something to argue about for years to come.

Having lived in Lake Charles for three years (and loving it), I was impressed with the passion all folks in Loosiana have for the Bayou Bengals. Just win with class and accept your rewards.

PS - Is Roy pronounced "wah" down there, like Patrick "Wah" the goaltender?

PPS - I have to admit I was not disappointed to see both Texas and KSU lose. Especially since they lost to Washington State and Ohio State. It just makes the OU SOS that much more suspect and bodes well for LSU. Heck, Cal gave KSU a better game than did OU.

Answer to the Original question for me is: Not at ALL

The media creates a lot of this "Controversy" and just harp on it. It gives them something to print in their daily columns, and talk about. But don't fool yourself, when the Sugar Bowl comes on Sunday, all eyes will be on LSU & OU. And I would bet it is the Largest Television audience ever to watch the National Championship game.

A voice of reason from the land of fruit and nuts. Did you post that here rather than having it deleted from a condom board? "Roy" is pronounced "Roy". "Loosiana" is spelled Louisiana".

One more thing. LSU did not get a "screw job". We were #2 in everybody's poll.

I was wondering when you were gonna respond. The only jackass LSU fan I've met.

Face it. Your best hope is a shared national title.

    Roy, the Loosiana was intentional.

Has nothing to do with losing and I hope it wasn't taken that way. It's how I pronounce it. Kind of like "Lou-a-vul" instead of "Louie-vil".

Reminds me of the folks that would come down to the refinery from New Jersey. They wanted to try some of that "bow-den" they have at the Boudin Factory.

Which reminds me of the time I was getting directions in my first month there. They said go past "Terry-O's". How the hell did I know that was spelled Theriot's which I thought was pronounced therry-ot? Great folks, great time.
