Temple is much more of a swing forward than a guy who plays on the blocks like Davis and Bass. Once we lost Koundija a guy like Thomas would've been incredibly valuable. Too bad he wasn't ready to play against SEC competition. Brady for coach of the century if he can get a guy to go from RS to starter or even a 20 min/game guy in a year.

    wow quite a list.

mason could fill a big void NEXT year.

i think the scholly limit is 12 but i cant keep track of all the rules and the well publicized movement in and out of lsu bball. if i had to guess, there are 12 minus bass and koundja. there's some rule about not just overall schol. #, but also a limit to signings in a time frame, so bass and koundja may count against that---other posters probably know better than me.

starters should be: davis 5, lazare 4, tmitch 3, dmitch 2, temple 1 (minor will replace).

minor starts because-he has potential (he was just a soph last year) and lsu is/was thin at that position. he has actually play some good games.

backups-thomas 4, granberry 5, voogd 1 (i guess). definately gonna need backup guard with tac out and dmitch's foul trouble. i expect to see a lot of granberry and davis on the floor together.

dont need to replace all of bass's #s. just play better team D. also several players can pickup slack. tack and tmitch have ability to pick up a lot.

i wouldnt bet on the freshmen, but you seem to be forgetting davis, hudson, and bright. all contributed significantly as freshmen under brady

I can't wait for Mason to hit the floor, from every Marquette game I've seen him play he'll be all-SEC next year. If for some crazy reason we keep Davis and Taz and sign Augustin we'd have maybe the most talented team in the country next year.

PG: DJ Augustin (Tac Minor, Ben Voogd, Garrett Temple)
    SG: Dameon Mason
SF: Tasmin Mitchell (Tyrus Thomas, Chris Johnson)
    PF: Darnell Lazare (Magnum Rolle)
    C: Glen Davis (Kentrell Gransberry)

How nice would it be to go 12 deep with Minor platooning between point and shooting guard off the bench? Could also maybe throw Perry Stevenson in the mix, although he is probably more raw than Rolle will be this year.

Tack will sit out but not really the first half, he can't play until the semester is over. That's 8 regular season games and 2 practice games. I think as soon as the semster is over he can play, if his grades are good.
