You're right, boASSo is garbage. Im not into politics as much as I should be, but I've never seen as much crap from a campaign like boASSo's. The ad with the lady claiming that Jindal left her brother on the streets, you've got to be kiddin me.
Besides, Jindal is a Tiger fan...... http://www.bobbyjindal.com/docs/videos/Bobby-Tailgates-at-LSU-v-Florida.html
He has been on three televised debates. It is a political rule of thumb that when you are as far ahead of the pack as Jindal is, you limit your debates because you have nothing to gain by them and only your opponents can profit from them. A persons accomplishments involves a great deal of substance.
You can find out where he stands by listening to the three debates. Apparently you did not do that. Or you can go to his website. Apparently you have not done that either.
A coward? Jindal is being politically astute in limiting his participation in debates. Secondly, he talks a great deal about his goals and what he believes. He does it in every town he visits, in his TV debates and on his website. He has a great deal of integrity. He is just not stupid.
This has been one of the most boring governor's race I've ever seen. Guess everyone has pretty much given the election to Jindal. Georges is at least trying to make it interesting by claiming Jindal's birth of his last son (the one he delivered at home) was orchestrated and put his son in harm's way. If you can't beat him on the issues, try to beat him on his baby delivering skills.:hihi:
I plan to retire in 2010. I'd rather not have to think about capital gains taxes being raised to 40% in order to help her plans for a Socialist government. Any WORKING American who even thinks of voting for Hillary is not paying attention. If you're living on the dole and having trouble making ends meet, she's your gal.
Get real, a health plan that elevates America to the level of the rest of the free world in health care is not a bad thing. And it certainly isn't a "socialist government". In fact, this health plan involves private insurance companies, not government clinics. Louisiana is the only state in the union with state-run charity hospitals and you are paying for them right now. Better a plan that subsidizes poor folk to purchase otherwise unaffordable health insurance. It's cheaper and involves the private sector in both the insurance itself and private medical providers. It will rid us of "free" county clinics and charity hospitals. It is not capital gains taxes that a WORKING retiree needs to worry about . . it is inflation, which will make your cash worth less and less. And our huge national debt will inevitably lead to inflation as time goes on. Only multi-millionaires, who can afford it, cough up big capital gains taxes. Why shouldn't they have to pay more for the goverment that provides them the legal and ecomonic system that allows them to get rich and powerful? Why put that burden on the backs of WORKING stiffs like me and you? Likewise any WORKING American, making less than $350,000 a year who even thinks of voting Republican is not paying attention. All those tax breaks on capital gains and dividends primarily benefit the IDLE RICH who make most of their income from owning money. Likewise the notion of replacing income taxes with sales taxes benefits only the super rich. Instead of each paying a fair proprotion of his income, everyone gets to pay essentially the same thing. A billionaire's loaf of bread or his Lexus doesn't cost any more than yours does. Your retirement income bleeds away with 10%+ sales taxes, while his fortune grows exponentially.
