My worst nightmare. I fear that the winner of the USC/ND game will slide right into the NC game against the OSU/UM winner. My hatred of Notre Dame should make it easy to pull for USC but the image of Petey gushing with happiness is too much to bear. Hopefully I won't see either Weiss or Carroll hoisting the crystal football.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cal hand USC their second loss, but it will be appalling to be forced to actually pull for USC to beat ND. Talk about "taking one for the team."

Amen, my Tiger brother. I couldn't be happier that Texas faltered. In fact, I'm pulling for them to lose to A & M AND to lose the re-match with Nebraska in the Big 12 CG--sending them to the Cotton or Holliday Bowl. By the way, the Big 12 has horrible bowl tie-ins--not a single New Year's Day Florida bowl.
