It's a shame to think that there more opinions like this one outside of La. It is these types of opinions and the growing acceptance of them, that are a danger to the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. The people of this state need to fight like hell against these inaccuracies in hopes of uninformed decisions not being made for us. mr dodd fails to recognize this year's sugar bowl being hosted (and hosted well) just as other writers would point out that miles is winning with saban's talent, but urban meyer's NC had nothing to do with Ron Zook. they are artists that fail to paint the whole picture but instead only paint what they want you to see. and honestly, is joe q. public from nebraska or delaware or (pick a state) really informed on what goes on down here?? no, they read a d-bag like dodd or hear a comment on espn radio by t-mac saying he's not coming here for the all star game and he begins to think, "wow, things are really bad down there." it's this ignorance and attitude that will actually be the killshot for N.O. and it makes me angry.:angryfire
I guess all of Cali will have to move their games because of possible earthquakes. I dont think these weather guys have ever predicted the hurricane season correctly. Every year is "above average." Look for an announcement early next week to say all games are moving to Mayberry where life is perfect.
Let's see...How many events were held in the Superdome before Katrina? Couldn't have been many in this hurrricane plagued region.:dis:
Maybe but yours is much greater than mine. Arguably better than before too. Don't mean to sound harsh but, from what I've read/seen it may end up being a "Cleansing" of the city as far as corruption in Police Dept that was brought to light and so many of the "Gangstas" relocated. I'd think the majority of the ones returning are there for the right reasons......Pride, to rebuild, find jobs, etc. The others just changed the address for the gov't to send them their checks.
Good thing the Japanese didn't think like that after the Enola Gay flew by and dropped off "Little Boy".
We also had Rita a short time after. Okay sassy pants......then and now?? :hihi: So your point is????
Good point. Not sure they were so much helmets as head gear. Pretty cold up there and if a bullet finds you before you're done with the mission, not very likely the plane will make contact with the target. Too bad we didn't just ask these guys before they left. http://www.sme.sk/cdata/2297850/20050714001_kamikaze_big.jpg
