1. evolution is a real and verifiable process. i have done the experiments.

and many of you believe in evolution and dont know it if you get a flu vaccination every year.
  2. I believed in it long before I got the flu. The man that taught me about evolution, was the same man that explained that we each had to define our relationship with God. He was the same guy that named me for an LSU football player, taught me football, and showed me the 100 yard wonder of the world; Tiger stadium. Thanks Dad, happy birthday.
  3. second class?????? Little high in my opinion. JK
  4. It always depends on your faith, but we cannot deny that Science does not tell facts and Bible also. But its a bit of complicated, but faith will be the answer.
  5. how do i know which faith is the answer, there are lots and lots and lots of them.
  6. I deny it vociferously. How exactly does science not tell facts? Be specific.

Then make your case. What question does faith answer?
  7. I have been called much worse names than an idiot....some probably right. :yelwink2: You say you realize you are not going to burn....I see it as, you do not believe you are going to burn. Do "I" think that you "deserve" to burn? If it was left to me, no one would. Some big punishment, yes....but eternal is eternal....I doubt you believe in eternity...However, how do you get a percentage of eternity? But, we play by His rules.....If there is any comfort to you, the Bible says that many, who are called by His name (Christians) will meet the same fate.
  8. Well....... I'm Catholic and always have been, that's all that matters to me. I don't worry about other peoples religion.
  9. you might consider thinking about it. our entire foreign policy is dictated by the fact that some religions are pretty violent right now. and at times (like now in ireland) your religion can be pretty violent.

and it is easy to say you dont worry about anyone else when your particular religion is overwhelming and completely dominant. every president we have ever had, every major politician in america, all christian. i suspect you would give religion a little more consideration if, for instance, all these politicians were muslim or jewish and therefore opposed to many of your core beliefs.
  10. The Doves out there like to tell us that terrorists don't speak for the Islamic religion; that the things they say are a corruption of true Islam. By the same token, militant Christians in Ireland are not representative of all Christianity.

As for the political dynamic you mention, its not so much a majority-minority issue as it is one of tolerance. Americans may not all agree on religious preference, but no one's raised a crusading army for their religion here either. No American President has ever given a non-Christian American reason to fear for their personal safety for reasons of religion.
