Who said RP wasn't going to win the starting job next year?

  2. Re: Do you think Ryan Perrilloux is questioning his decision now that the starting jo

not so fast, captain, but we will see him with a helmet on next season... I promise that!
  3. Re: Do you think Ryan Perrilloux is questioning his decision now that the starting jo

I think I remember hearing last year during the recruiting season that Vince Young assured RP that he would be leaving after his junior season. If that is the case, then RP knew exactly what he was doing. To look at it from his perspective (and with his ego), how incredible would it be for a QB to come in and beat out two of the top quarterbacks in the country in HS for the starting job - after they'd already been with the team for several years. It's a football player's dream come true.

That is unless he injures his soldier
  5. He rolled the dice and lost. I am sure he wish he had the decision to make over again.
  6. Re: Do you think Ryan Perrilloux is questioning his decision now that the starting jo

Sorry, but he came here because he thought he had a better chance of being a starter earlier than at Texas. Russell was having problems last year and he thought he had a legitimate chance to take over the #1 spot this year. He said as much.
  7. Re: Do you think Ryan Perrilloux is questioning his decision now that the starting jo

correction: I should have said Russell had problems during the '04 season, and Perrilloux thought he could take over in 2005.
  8. Re: Do you think Ryan Perrilloux is questioning his decision now that the starting jo

If you believe that I have some swammp land in Mississippi I want to sell you.
  9. Perrilloux will be a redshirt Freshman in 2006. I don't think he lost anything comming to LSU. He's got 4 years to show his stuff here, he'll play when the coaches think he's ready.

Do you think RP or any QB in America wants to folow in the footsteps of "Greatest QB in Texas History"? Will the expectations of the new Texas QB be realistic? About 400+ yards per game expected sound about right?

    :geauxtige
  10. I think it came down to LSU being a little more upfront & promising RP a chance, where Texas wouldn't. I also think that RP saw where we were developing our QBs better than Texas.
