If it had looked like this nobody would have thought it was a bomb. But it still could have been

I doubt this English teacher knew or even thought she knew what a bomb looked like. However, if she had watched any films or tv, it might look like this device.

The science teacher thought it looked suspicious enough to tell Ahmed to hide it.

I don't fault teachers, I fault the cops. And I don't expect either to recognize a bomb or a science project. The teacher could see it was pencil box with a circuit board and some wires and was shown it by the student. He apparently knew it was not a bomb or he would have confiscated it. He also was apparently was smart enough to realize that it was suspicious enough to scare somebody who hadn't expected it and told the kid to keep it under wraps. The kid foolishly disregarded good advice.

    You know I can, D'artagnan.

The most common bomb made by teenagers looks like this.

Teenagers really don't have access to C4 or dynamite. They make pipe bombs with black powder, sometimes homemade black powder with a simple fuse. If the teacher saw something like this, he would have known instantly. Of course, if it had been a bomb, a kid would be unlikely to show it to the teacher anyway. I suspect the science teacher correctly saw what the kid constructed for what it was. He is likely to be familiar with electrical and electronic gadgets.

A home made digital clock is pretty simple. He took a pencil case, put a digital display panel inside the top lid and he hooked it up to a circuit board with a control panel and replaced the 9 volt battery with a transformer so he could plug it into AC.

Now, of course a digital timer can be used to detonate a bomb, but it requires an actual explosive and anyone serious about making a working bomb could use a cheap digital timer or even a cell phone. It would be far more reliable...if it was attached to anything that would explode.

The teacher still should have confiscated it. The kid could have had a pipe bomb in his backpack!

Damn bully fish, taking someone elses bait. Leave it alone just once in your life will ya.

The point is ANYTHING can be a bomb. From this pencil case, to a brief case, to a banana, to a cell phone, his shoe, an ink pen, ANYTHING and these freaking muslims are really good at making them.

So none of you are gamers.

That shit looks like like the bombs on video games. Just like em.
Call of Duty, Counterstrike (cops vs terrorist) all have a brief case with a clock on it and you have to defuse it.

This could of just been is clock portion. 2 months later, Boom.

I mean who the fuck uses a brief case for a clock lol. Really?
