(Refer to Board Policy FNF, FO)......while not a communication device, it was clearly electronic in nature. I already said the handcuffs were too much. The science teacher should have confiscated the device and told him to come get it at the end of the day. But clearly, he trusted Ahmed enough to let him keep it with the explicit direction to put it away and not show it to any other teachers precisely because it might be misunderstood. Ahmed ignored those instructions despite having claimed that he wanted to impress the teacher and was initially disappointed that the teacher didn't get as excited about it as Ahmed wanted. So instead of learning a lesson about appropriate conduct at school, Ahmed is now a hero and will be visiting the WH, while yet another school is unfairly targeted and vilified for not doing the right thing. This set of rules actually declares school supplies to be a potential danger. Jesus! Then she is equally at fault here since the rules you post require that objects meeting this rule be confiscated. I think neither are at fault. No rules were really broken and no one is guilty. He is no visiting because he is a hero, but because he is a citizen that was mistreated. It's a friggin' gesture, cuz.

I could be wrong here but I think the science teacher is a "he" and perhaps the English teacher who did eventually confiscate it is a "she". But hey, what's in a pronoun? Colleges these days offer gender self-selection pronouns including Ze, They, trans man, questioning, and genderqueer. But why this one as opposed to so many others who fall into the same category?
