Muslims and 1st generation Indians tend to isolate themselves from popular culture. They stick to themselves. It is hard to get to know them. I live in Little Middle East (east Frisco) so I know this it be true.

My son's Indian friends (2nd or 3rd generation) make fun of their odorous 1st generation Indians. It makes me giggle.

We almost bought a house that smelled strongly of curry, but just couldn't do it. Our Vietnamese painter told us he would never be able to be that smell out of the house.

Yes, Obama honors heroes, citizens, and many others at the White House.

That was foolish, perhaps. But he broke no school rules nor state laws. Do you approve of his being handcuffed and taken to juvenile detention was proper. Or should the teacher have simply taken the project away from him?

So what? How does it hurt you or anybody else?

The Vietnamese eat some pretty nasty stuff too. Nuoc Mam sauce is made from rotten fish.

How would anyone have reacted if he would have had that thing in an airport?

Why is an airport more important than a school full of children?

You may hammer him for that.
Is there some reason I can't meet both?

So did first generation Irish, Italians, Pole, German, and Norwegians. It is universal.
