    "We could see the direction things were going Saturday," said Miles, referring to Southern California's loss to UCLA and Florida's victory against Arkansas. "I had to vote for Florida. It's the right thing.

    "The SEC champion has to be playing for the national championship. This is a step in the right direction. Hopefully, we'll be in the same situation (as Florida) in the future."

    I guess coach Miles agreed with me.
