I should mention that I would pull for UF if they got to the big game. But I want UMich to go if it helps us.

Well, I certainly pull for all SEC teams when they play out of conference and especially when it could be for a potential national championship.

And to answer the question that I posted.....

If LSU were in Florida's shoes this forum would be on fire and so would I pulling for LSU to get the nod, because they deserve it....so I dont want to be a hypocritical jerk like all of the national analyst when talking football so I will say Florida deserves the shot at OSU and so I will be pulling for a deserving SEC team to get a shot at a NC, even though that pretty much ends LSU's shot at the RB, but hell the Sugar Bowl aint a bad place to be and smashing ND will always be fun.

And to the post that said LSU hasnt played a PAC 10 team other than Oregon St. obviously doesnt remember ancient history when LSU played Arizona this year, Arizona State last year, and Arizona in 2003.

I think Florida is more deserving to play for the title than Michigan. To be honest, Id much rather have played Michigan than USC in the Rose. Reason being USC will now be pissed and highly motivated to prove themselves, add to that a home field advantage.

Personally I would have to say LSU will always come first for me, so I hope Fla does not get in to the NCG. Considering the human polls(Harris) should make the difference, if you live near any of those yahoos who actually vote, you can drive by and convince them accordingly...

    Definitely LSU before the SEC.

well then, for everybody that says LSU first and SEC second, is it possible that pulling for Florida to go to the SEC is still pulling for LSU, beucase if Florida gets the shaft and passed over like Auburn 2 years ago, then what happens if LSU is in a similar position next year, so the way I see it pulling for an SEC national champion is pulling for LSU, at least LSU's future interest in getting to the NC.

And playing in the Sugar instead of the Rose is not a big enough drop off for me not to pull for Florida to play for an NC.

That's the real question, isn't it?

I think all LSU fans want to play in the Rose, for obvious reasons. But is it in LSU's best interest to have the SEC screwed out of the NC game for the 2nd time in 3 years? If this continues, it could be LSU getting screwed in the future.

Well I can say, I am pulling for LSU. Yes florida had the toughest schedule, blah blah blah, but they were not smooth at all in most of those games and one big play by the other team and we wouldnt be talking about this. And I am pretty sure if the situation was switched, florida fans would be hoping we didnt go so they could go to rose bowl. I know sugar is not a big drop from rose but i would rather see lsu play usc than lsu play notre dame, which we have in the past 10 yrs. We need to show the west coast what real football is.

As far as supporting the SEC. THey screwed us when we played Auburn this year or we might be going to glendale. So this is not my personal gain but for LSU gain.
