I went there last night and they really did have their panties in a wad, shocked and offended that their demenses were being invaded by unkempt outlanders. The basic theme of most of the posts I read was that LSU was beneath their notice and anyone that did not recognize their innate superiority, them being S-C and all, were obviously goobers who got their reading material from the mail-order catalouges in the outhouse. Much was trotted out concerning their scholastic and athletic traditions. Like most elitists though, it was their own ignorance that showed through, they know nothing about LSU and what they know of the SEC is confined to "Alabama was good when that Bear so-and-so coached them". As I read through the drivel it became clear to me that their nose-in-the-air-posture prevents them from seeing much outside of the area right over their head, and they have only lately noticed LSU and they are spooked. All the "I've got my Sugar Bowl reservations made" posts sounded like whistling past the graveyard to me.
