1. they won 5-6 straight after that... so yeah
  2. well USC lost in triple-ot to an 8-5 cal team on the road, while OU got throttled by Kstate, no team that gets beat 35-7 deserves to be in the NC game
  3. exactly. The BCS did not do us any favors by putting OU in the game instead of USC. And if I recall correctly, the Tigers were in no matter what because Hawaii beat Alabama and Notre Dame lost and Boise State won or something like that. The point of contention was that OU got in before USC, which shouldn't have happened, thus the split national title.
  4. All of that weakened USC's schedule strength...

Had that not happened ,it is USC/OU like I said

There's my rope, thanks I-of-the-Tygrr. Now where's gumborue? :hihi:
  6. I had heard differently, that LSU was in and that point of contention was OU. Still, in my eyes, the BCS has done us no favor.

  7. abu is right. no favors were done.
  8. did you hear he actually wanted his ashes shot into space? :hihi:
  9. of course i dont want lsu to lose, but i really hate the bcs (and everything that has preceded it). you'd certainly have to think that playoff system would favor the sec more than other conferences in general. the way it is now, you have to have a great program and coaches and talent AND still wait around until you have the right mix of experience at certain positions. oh, and a favorable schedule helps too.

i wouldnt be surprised if the best college football team (one that would have won a playoff) has only won the NC half the time.
  10. Would agree that OU should not have been there given they were not conference champs, but its the past and how it played out is a moot point.

Still angry with Pete Carroll claiming his team Nat'l Champions after winning. Utterly ridiculous, yet the AP voters went for it. I guess we should just all be glad that he didn't proclaim it again after Notre Dame and go ahead and call the season off a bit early this year. :dis:
