I get that people are against it...I am too. But not really any sense worrying over it, because it IS gonna happen. Might as well accept it.

TAMU brings Houston. Teams you won't see added to the SEC are some of the ones I see thrown around all the time...but it ain't gonna happen.

    FSU
    Clempsun
    Georgia Tech

The SEC already has UF. They don't need FSU...because this is ALL about the market.

The SEC already has USCe. They don't need Clempsun...because this is ALL about the market.

The SEC already has UGA. They don't need GT...because this is ALL about the market.

Don't you wonder why names such as Mizzou are being tossed around? Market. The SEC doesn't have KC and St. Louis...yet.

They aren't going by the 'best teams/programs' guideline. They're going after money...market.

Technically that isn't the "south" anyway. I get the feeling that behind the scenes a&m is a done deal even with the vote a few weeks ago.

Well, I believe expansion is indeed the coming future, and at some point soon we will be forced to do that in order to maintain our position as the number 1 conference.

With that, I'd say now is the time. The SEC's relative strength and prestige are as strong as they're going to be for quite some time. A 6th straight championship isn't going to impress anyone that the 5th didn't. The prospects of a renegotiated contract for a larger league are enticing to schools. Strike when the SEC brand carries the heaviest weight.
