He was fired as a head coach though, not an OLine coach.

Wasn't Arnsparger fired at Tulane? He was OK at LSU.

I took my 8-year-old to the LSU football camp this past summer. He goofed off but had a great time. Miles was away on his trip to Iraq at the time. I met a few coaches. Fisher and Moffitt were easily the nicest guys.

Searels was an egotistical arse, I observed his interaction with the some kids and their parents outside of coaching situations. He just seemed bothered to have to deal with some youngsters who may not end up playing in Tiger Stadium. This was the week after the camp for the high school kids. I suppose if you can coach then it's OK to be a jerk, but I don't think he's getting any recognition for his coaching this year.

my husband and I have talked about Scelfo being a good o-line coach but just wasn't up to being a HC. i know i have made remarks about Scelfo, but he is a good man and i have hoped he would land on his feet somewhere. I have just never considered that it would be LSU.

Well, you guys have a point with Miles. He probably needs to get some younger coach he can mold.

I heard Scelfo interviewed. I cannot believe he'd be able to take that step down from head coach and get along with Les any better than Searels.

Now Fisher's out of here, too. I thought it would be Louisville, but it was FSU all along.

Searels, Fisher, and JR to the Pros hit LSU like a 1-2-3 Punch.
You guys gonna say Les can OC also as well as be OL coach.

There's one blessing. It all happened early enough for LSU to shop around for Offensive Coaches. They say Les is moving quickly to fill the spots.

P.S. - Hey, where's that mutt masquerading as a Rottweiler and his sidekick moderator. I wanted to laugh at them about Florida kicking OSU's butt 34-14
at half. Florida's gonna hang more than 50 on 'em. Who's the douchebag, now!

Geaux Gators! SEC # 1 for years to come and LSU is # 2 in America.

They disagreed on schemes/philosophies. As long as Scelfo (or whoever) doesn't have that issue, it won't be a problem.

Woofwoof! Though I have no idea what you're talking about. Why would you laugh at me about Florida winning? Because I'm rooting for OSU because I hate Florida?

Of course, I could be forgetting something I posted if I was really hammered or something. :hihi:

alex gibbs was the OC with the falcons, i know les doesnt particularly like zone blocking scheme but it would work great with either flynn or RP. our OL could do it, michigan is doing it with hart and we could still do a lot of the pulling which can be used as well on rollouts. id really like that hire. also possible would be russ grimm, the OL coach with the steelers if they hire whisenhunt. who does miles have connections with?

And none of those exiting have so far landed at Alabama. Can you imagine that. I never heard GA even lost an OL coach, I guess someone got fired after a dismal season.

    The coaching hunt continues.
