It's definitely not appealing right now. The current format is just another attempt at revisionist history. I don't care which of the Presidents speak but I'm not interested if they keep saying what's currently being said. The Country Bear Jamboree is more educational! :usaflagwa
I have no doubt that the new version will be an homage to Obama and gives him credit for writing the Constitution, freeing the slaves and the second coming of Jesus Christ.
You should do yourself and your family a favor by growing up sometime this decade. 1 year and half left.
I don't know that they'll go that far. (Maybe if it was NBC-Disney instead of ABC-Disney they would) I do believe they'll make a big deal out of his inclusion. This country is still hooked on "firsts". We would celebrate the first "insert race", "insert disability", "insert age", "insert gender", "insert perceived disadvantage", "insert accomplishment" as long as it's the first so I'm sure they'll go to great lengths to praise Obama. They'll need to do something. It's no longer a quality attraction and needs to be changed. If it becomes a shrine to Obama, I think it will still only attract a small audience. I don't think we should ever forget our past and surely slavery was our lowest point but this country is about so much more than that. The "Hall of Presidents" name is surely misleading and will be even more if we focus on one individual. Either way I'll be using my Fast Pass for Splash Mountain and other "quality" attractions. If I want make believe history, I'll watch NBC "News".
So which definition applies to Toole's " A Confederacy of Dunces"? Still one of my favorite N.0. stories. :geaux:
