LOL - I have to agree. Southern Comfort is crap. But then again, I like cheap cigars, so what do I know? To each his own.

Hope he doesn't do too well and win any fans over, we don't need to push our luck with a three-QB system.

There was this Older gentleman in Batesville MS where I used to live. His name was Mr. Woody. Real nick name, wont say his last name. He dressed like a painter because his profession was a painter. Originally. I met him when he was in his early 70's. He drove an old 80's Ford Pick up. He never carried any money. He was a billionaire.

He owned all the property from Hwy 51 to the Interstate 55. He had the fore sight to buy it in the 50's when everyone said it was worthless. He did this when they started construction on the new interstate. He got it for pennies on the dollar. He sold it to Mcdonalds, Walmart, Craker barrel, the hospital, he built strip malls on other parts.
He was also a deeply devout man, never missed church on sunday. It was the ONLY time he was in a suit other than when he was laid to rest.

I knew him well and I asked him once, " Mr. Woody how does a guy get to be so lucky as to make the right investments?"

he told me luck had nothing to do with it. He said it takes vision, a plan, saving and hard work. AND you have to be willing to take calculated risks. NOT luck. He said You'll never be the man as long as you work for the man, but most importantly son, be of good character and enjoy life and family.

Mr. Woody died a couple yrs ago, His grandchildren have Malls named after them. He was a giant among men, truly he was mourned by all on his passing.

I never forgot what Mr. Woody told me. So I did everything he said. I told myself from that day forward I'd do what he did as best as I could considering the limited income I had.

so far life has been good to me. Mr. Woody's formula works, Its not a get rich quick scheme, its an attitude.

I enjoy life, and my family. I am fortunate enough to be able to race a Pro Mod car. I own my own business and it's doing great even in these economic times.

Why am I saying all this? I guess because we can all learn something from Mr. Woody. People arent always as they appear. or seem to be. I have no idea who you are or your IQ. Nor do you mine. I suppose any dumbass can be fortunate by luck. Forrest gump was! ( fictional) I know.. Now I am by NO MEANS sayin I am anywhere near as sucessful as Mr. Woody was.

I DO try to have as much Integrity as he did. Its not an easy road to follow. I also try to take his advice and put family first. I know Im not perfect and dont always suceed in doing that but by and large I think I have had some sucess in life.

I like to think it was more than luck though.
I wish you the same sir.

I didnt know you'd been studying me all this time Mike? Im glad you finally got your fill and can move on!

I could have told you I wasnt worth spending time on a long time ago lol

BTW how's life in thug ville? I happen to know a little bit about Memphis. it's politics and crime.

BTW # 2 : I happen to like Southern comfort, my dad loved it. Its more of a sentimental reason that I drink it. It has an almost sweet taste to it. I also like Crown, and many other blended whiskey's. ( it's crazier than you think I actually use coke Zero! ) wow that really made me stupid didnt it? lol

I have never tried pepper mint snapps but I wont rule it out. If you dont like what I like, thats ok we live in America last I looked.

Also that always right thing was a bit of sarcasm lol :hihi:

that's awesome! twins I take it!

BTW. if you need cliff notes for my posts then Lit 101 wont be nice to you. just saying.

no worries though Sylvan has a nice program.

    Sylvan reading prgram

Its a good program a guy I used to work with used it. Oddly enough he was 59 and had not learned to read and write. We found out when we saw him trying to cash his check. While I am no lit genuis I can make do, so a couple of us got him to stay late after work twice a week and we taught him to read. true story. felt good to give something back.

I'm guessing you are further along though. Does Rex have the same reading comp. issues?

If I can help let me know.

    good day sir.

    Geaux Tigers!
