It's really the chick's fault. When she entered that's when it all went downhill.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one fanatic .....

A new people come in here to express their opinion on a subject. It doesn't matter that it has been discussed before ... they didn't get a chance to talk about it, because they weren't here. The fact is .... a new person doesn't know that the topic has been rehashed a thousand time on this board. I think the people who get impatient about the rehashing are the ones who've been here all along, not the new commers.

I'd say they probably leave after being demoralized for expressing their opinoin on a subject that some old dude has decided is not worth talking about anymore.

I mean .. really man ... cut some folks some slack. I like this board because I know the characters on it after 2 years. If a new person comes on, welcome them, let them have their say. And for us "trolls" who just come here during football season ... be glad we show up. Otherwise, you can spend all your time on the "what is it" thread in the Roundtable .. which even it is getting less traffic than it was a few months ago.

This is insanity. Really sad. So Lee was over 72% passing counting 5 drops in a single game? And Mett hasn't exactly thrown much in the second half this season.

Anybody that thinks Lee>Mett needs to take up another sport to be a fan of.

OK, did some research. JJs and JLees stats were nearly identical last season. So by this logic, clearly JJ was just as good as JLee, right?

    Didn't think so.

If you're gonna use stats (that you didn't even provide for us) to say that JLee was better than Mett, your argument is void. Just like Lee was better than JJ in your mind, even though their stats were identical, Mett is better than either and it isn't close. Neither of them could make the throws Mett can and has made, and neither of them had the confidence to attempt them. In fact, Lee may well be able to make them...he just didn't.

Mett needs to quit staring down receivers, and that's teachable. One thing I can tell you, he won't be throwing anything but fades in the red zone from here on out.

At this point, Mett is better than Lee and Mett's upside is unbelievably higher than Lee's. In fact, Mett may be off to the NFL next year, his senior year, as a high draft pick where Lee is struggling trying to make a practice squad having been cut two weeks ago as an un-drafted free agent.

What I think most of us are disappointed at now is that Mett's stats are not better than they are which may have more to say about our offensive line and receivers although the two red-zone interceptions are a bit scary, but hopefully something he will QUICKLY learn from.

Barring any more injuries, I think that the OL will improve as will the WRs. This year really works out great having an easy front end of our schedule.

Matt Flynn's stats weren't very good.

It's all about what they are asked to do, and the risks they are allowed to take. Stats most certainly do lie, and they never tell the whole story.

AJ Macarron is completing about 64% of his passes to date. Not many are completing over 70%. Mett is. People use stats too much though to define a player, especially a QB. Bottom line,

    Arm Strength---Mett>>>>JLee or JJ
    Accuracy--------Mett>JLee and Mett>>>>better than JJ
    Footwork--------Mett>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>either
    Confidence------Mett>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>either

I don't have that much of a problem with people still discussing it, but at least make the initial post substantive. What stats? The ones posted on Dandy Don a few days ago? Link it. I don't even know what stats we're discussing. I just know stats are pretty useless in this conversation.
