I don't care about weiner's weiner texting. I think it's funny more than anything. If he did text naked pics to a minor he's in deep crap. He was one to jump on others when they fked up so he deserves to get a little back. And by the way sexting is fun. If your married then do it with your wife not other women. Sexting with someone other than your spouse is still cheating in my book. Weiner's situation isn't really important in the grand scheme of life. It's just a silly sideshow. Someone who threw egg in others face is getting a little on his. None of us are guiltless. Why should politicans be any diffrent? If he would have come clean about it at first none of this would be so bad. He could have said " it's my business who and what I text and I won't say anymore. I can send you a pic too if you want" and walked away instead of making up a story.
Dude, there's a lot of stuff more important than Weiner's Barney, but he's a sitting US Congressman who went on TV and lied through his weasely little teeth and that's not a small thing (pun intended). If he was a Republican you would be foaming at the mouth you brain fried little hypocrite.
Why are you so intent on finding things "more important" than the Weiner coverage? Certainly you are capable of digesting more than one story at a time, right? As SF and Tirk both pointed out, the dude LIED about it. He jumped all over the press for pursuing it. I don't understand how you can't seem to grasp that him lying, and also having personally damaging info out there that can be used to manipulate him via blackmail, is not a big deal.
Because he wants so badly for oscar meyer to be a Republican that he can't stand it. Oh and lets not forget that not too long ago he was singing the praises of one Anthony "oscar meyer" Weiner and now he has egg (and cheetos) all over his face.
Weiner should resign, like all sex-scandal politicians. The democrats are calling on him to resign, including Obama. Vitter should have resigned, too. But the GOP was silent about him.
