Did this game affect anyone else like it did me?

That is exactly how I felt, however....I know that I will never be able to NOT watch the game. Just can't do it.

I'm already nervous about driving to starkvegas this weekend. Hoping for the best, preparing for the seeing Pellini's defense again. :dis:

the "L" is awful but really you do need to realize that in the history of your life time it is likely LSU will lose a game or two. I wouldnt say the deck is stacked agaisnt us just yet though. We have a great tradition and I doubt seriously we go through an extended dry spell like we did in the 90's.

My big thing is that I can handle getting outplayed. Getting out coached by a team with less talent, that keeps me up at night.

Been a Tiger fan all my life and have seen my share of gut wrenching losses. This one just seems to hurt a lot more.

I didn't sleep well last night, either, and doggone it, I had a lot of serious things to worry about at work today! That's not to mention taking care of my two children.

I would compare this loss to the way I felt after the Auburn game in '94--the interception game. Disgusted, sick, etc.

My husband says I take LSU football too seriously, but I could say the same for him with golf (which I can take or leave).

I haven't enjoyed watching us since the '03 championship season, either. Once the pressure of the high national rankings was on, it's been agonizing.

Since the end of the game last night, I've decided that I need to weaken the emotional connection I have with the team. I'm not saying that I want to be any less of a fan, but I don't like the outcome having such dominance over my emotions. I wait anxiously for each fall week to end so I can watch the Tigers play. Then, when something like this happens, I feel like I wasted time in anticipation. I want to enjoy each week as much as I can, and take life one day at a time. I somehow need to reduce the importance of it in my life.

The first step that I'm taking is ditching local sports radio. When all I hear all week long is LSU football discussion and analysis over and over and over, it really drums the whole thing up a bit too much.

Secondly, I'll probably be a bit more scarce around here. Interactively discussing it means more time thinking about and anticipating it. This is a phenomenal site for its nature. The input and opinions are absolutely second to none, and the company is top-notch. But I would like to just take each thing as it comes since there really isn't anything that I can do about it. I won't be vanishing completely, I'm just going to dwindle the time that I spend here. Maybe that will help.

I was on the other end till the end of the game.
I must say this was the best game for a UT fan in a long long time.

sounds like something we all have a bit in each of us. we all get a little too
caught up in it but when its all said and done, you realize its a football game and a loss is almost acceptable.

however, its very hard to shake when you see ineptness in the people hired to steer your ship to the promised land. that's something you know is long term. regardless how you felt about saban, you always knew he knew exactly what he was doing, right or wrong.

that's the uneasiness we are all pretty much feeling right now.

I lost all sleep, went for a 12 mile therapeutic run at 3:30 am and took seven kinds of abuse all day long. To top it off, I just opened this image in my email...good night everybody.
