I was listening to Mike and Mike on ESPN radio and John Clayton said it was a mistake to give Saban total control after what happened to Butch, Shanahan, and Holmgren. Clayton said he is "doomed" but still thinks he will go if the contract is right.
I think I was the only one in my group of friends that came over to watch the Patriots who wasn't irate at the ending. To replay the conversation between my friend and I following the Pats loss: friend: "MAN!!! That S*CKS!!! What to do you think of THAT crap?!?!? :cuss: ME: *shrugs* "Well, at least it proved that Bates can win....might be what we needed to keep Saban at LSU." friend: "Saban?! :angryfire You'd rather focus on what you might NOT lose rather than focus on the something (the game) the Pats DID lose?!?!?!" ME: "Yep" ..... Friend:  :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
I watched the game with a bunch of Miami fans and when they were leaving last night they all thanked me for our coach...whatever!!!
Wannstedt had total control up till this year as well. Why the hell would Miami make that same mistake?
This game was a bright spot for Miami but unless Saban turns them down, he won't be picked over Nick. Come on, it was just 1 game.
