When it comes to Red you have to consider the source.
He has NEVER criticized a democrat or liberal and there has been plenty to be criticized lately.
Even Al Gore's speech in 02 that is now all over you tube where he attacks Bush 41's policies toward Iraq and says the CIA says Saddam had wmd's and ties to terrorists back then.

He may be for gun control and a few other issues, he says isn't liberal but that doesn't change the fact he claims to be a moderate and yet only attacks Republicans!:)

You are wrong again, I can prove it, and you know it.

You are completely full of bull. Why don't you stick to telling us what Sourdoughman thinks instead of trying to imagine what I think. :dis:

red will attack republicans while they are seen as the more extreme party, opposed to the opinion polls. i am sure if democrats were down in the polls, red would be against them as well.

i suspect that if you went to red's house, none of his lightswitches would be on or off, they would be precariously balanced in the middle. opposed to anything at either end of anything, no matter how right or useful those extremes are.

    O No I don't.
I think you are a swell guy but I have been stating for a while that you haven't said one negative thing about any democrat.
I've heard thats because they aren't in power well the Democrat Congress, William Jefferson and Diane Feinstein come to mind!
If I'm wrong please prove it, I will apologize if I'm wrong but I doubt it!:)

I actually do this all the time but I can't help but reading your posts.
I really think you are swell guy for the most part but your post speak for themselves.

I've said that Teddy Kennedy is a drunken lecherous buffoon and that Jefferson is a crook; I really don't have any strong feelings about Feinstein, she just leans to the extreme instead of the middle. She'd never get my vote, but she probably represents Californians correctly.

It's got nothing to do with polls. I am against extremism in general. All sensible and pragmatic people are. The extreme democrats are as bad as the extreme republicans. I support the moderates of each party and the occasional moderate independent.

You really do live in a black and white world, don't you? A centrist is always a moderate, but a moderate is not always a centrist. You have difficulty understanding this, I realize.

Actually, if you came to Red's house, you would notice that the light switches are either on or off, but the house lighting has a pleasantly balanced intensity achieved by clever use of multiple lamps with bulbs of different wattages. Saving power, preserving the environment, reducing UV damage to my property, and being easy on my eyes. Not too bright, not too dim, yet flexible and easy to brighten or darken by simply turning different lamps on or off.

And, of course, prudent use of 3-way bulbs, all set in position 2.

I'll give you the perfect example of what I'm talkng about.
You guys constantly talk about Bush and his poll numbers while ignoring the fact that congress, which has democrats and republicans have lower numbers
    than the president.
I understand that you don't like Bush as president but why not be fair?
I'm not too crazy about Bush as president either btw, less and less everyday.
The only thing I'm happy with was Afghanistan and holding these terrorists at
    Gitmo besides judge appointments.

Its a little more than that nowdays in case you haven't heard.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dianne_Feinstein[edit] Corruption scandals and accusations
The Center for Public Integrity has reported that Feinstein and her husband, Richard Blum, have made millions of dollars from Iraq and Afghanistan contracts through his company, Perini.[20] According to the Bay Area alternative Metro Newspapers, Feinstein resigned from the Senate Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee in March 2007 after a series of articles partially funded by the progressive Nation Institute exposed ethical problems.[21]

While on the United States Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction Feinstein voted for appropriations worth billions to her husband's firms.[5] In April 2007, Feinstein's office denied there is a conflict of interest,[22] however, the director of the Project on Government Oversight who has examined evidence assembled by investigative reporter Peter Byrne[23] has stated that “the paper trail showing Senator Feinstein’s conflict of interest is irrefutable.”[24]

There have also been critics who argue that Feinstein's support of policies that are friendly to the Chinese government are because of her husband's extensive China-related business holdings.[citation needed]

Additional scandal arose regarding Feinstein's apparent conflicts of interest, when it was revealed that her Senate staff members had attempted to remove references to these conflicts from the Wikipedia biographies of both Feinstein and her husband.[25][26]

In 1990, Senator Feinstein did not disclose that her husband had guaranteed her 1990 campaign loans, which resulted in a $190,000 fine.[27] A Feinstein staff member deleted this information from Wikipedia in 2006.[28][26]

extremism as determined by what standard? clearly what is extreme is determined by the whatever randomly happens to be the current national mindset. what about those times when the correct viewpoint is currently extreme?

i am curious, of your positions on various things, on what do you think you vary most from the mainstream?
