Did anyone hear the "f**k you Saban" chant on College Gameday? I was just watching the college gameday postgame coverage on TV where CLM was interviewed by Chris Fowler. Our fans behind the stage apparently have got overly hyped and started chanting "f**k you Saban" (at least that's what I hear) in front of a Nationally Broadcasting Show. Me and my wife really felt embarrassed and shocked by our fan base's classless behaviors. Do they even have any sense what kind of a negative impact their behaviors will have on our university?? Unbelievable. You win a big game doesn't mean you have to become stupid after that.
I turned to ESPN just now. Maybe they held Miles over, so I listened to what I saw. No problems there. Thankfully.
I think the chant was "Miles beat Saban". If it were the other, I think Les would have turned around and said something.
I really hope you are right and that's what they were really chanting, otherwise I would be totally disappointed by the way our fan base represents our university.
That's what I thought it was too. I also heard them chanting 'we beat bama' with the same clapping as it was when they chanted 'we want bama' after the AU game. I had to laugh.
Thank you guys for clarifying that! I guess I was a little overly sensitive to what I should expect to hear from our unsurprisingly drunk fan base after an emotional win like this. Geaux Tigers!!
