Hope he stays. He was not the problem it was the offense didn't do their part. Troy got 10 cheap points defense did enough to win. Either Canada sucks or the players are not buying into his system. O's problem either way fix it quickly or he's got to geaux! I would put Ensminger in charge and Canada his assistant.
See, I'm thinking the defense is as noticably off as the offense. Great example last night. We were oh-fer on 3rd downs, with receivers consistently running routes too short to pick up the first. But I can remember at least 3 times last night where Troy had 3rd and 10 or more and picked up the first with a pass behind the line of scrimage. We are tentative and soft on D for the most part. Understandable for the first game or two, but you have to know what you're doing by game 5
I still don't understand how those 2 seconds were put back on the clock at the end of the first half. The teams had to be called back from the locker rooms. There's your margin of victory relative to the actual score. That said, it shouldn't have come to that. Our Tigers are in trouble.
If we can't progress against Syracuse and Troy what makes you think we can progress against the teeth of our SEC schedule? We played one SEC game against an SEC bottom feeder and got beat by 30 to a team who just lost back to back SEC games by a combined 67 points.
