Uhhh, since no republicans voted for the bills, how have they earned a spot to negotiate the differences between them? All they would do would be to offer more obstructionism. Obama is breaking no laws. This is the consequence of the GOP totally rebuffing the majority. All of the compromises that were put into the bills to get republican support got the democrats exactly zero GOP votes.

No way will the democrats now let them get involved with non-voting compromise negotiations when they have no stake in the bill whatsoever. This is what happens when a party takes its dollys and goes home instead of getting involved and being a part of the plan.

Come on MM, even you have to admit this is a new level of shadyness (Is that a word:huh:) Sure the mean ol GOP may have had a stronghold on things for a while but they never just tossed the rule book right out the window.

of course they did, you might not want to admit it because thats who you are associated with and thats fine. Thats your bias. But they did alot worse, see Tom Delay for that. You can continue to deny it, but i know better.

So the GOP should fall in lockstep to ram through a bill that makes no sense? Opposition, not Obstructionism.

Maybe not, but he's certainly breaking his promises of a transparent administration.

God forbid something gets in the bill that helps out working Americans. This is not a Democrat slumber party Red. It affects all Americans and those of us who disagree with what's going on have no voice. Hell, we don't even get to know what's being proposed. There will be hell to pay.

Christopher Dodd has already taken the cowards' way out.

there is nothing shady or non-transparent about how this bill is being pushed through congress. it is, however, atypical, but thats because the Dems are willing to put themselves on the line for such an important thing (and the GOP is making them do it).

if the people didnt want this to happen, they shouldnt have voted in a Dem prez and 60-40 senate.
