    The effing democrats have been beating this MC4A MediCare for All) drum that ignores the reality that no government run system can compete with free enterprise even in the world of medicine. BTW we don’t have a free market health care system today. It’s riddled with cronyism and rife with government interference. Things like this are the solution to our problems. Let the market, a regulated market, perform. This is why we can’t afford to have a democrat in the White House.

    I believe that if we eliminated third party payers all together for swaths of healthcare, like prescription drugs, elective surgeries, office visits, etc, and reserve insurance for major healthcare expenditures, you would see prices plummet. Simply put, if a provider prices their services out of reach for people, people will stop buying it and they will go out of business. Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement should be at a flat rate cash market prices, not some ridiculous negotiated price that guarantees a certain payment asked on under the table deals. Providers jack up cash prices to satisfy the discounts.
