    Massive drop in the Dow this morning. Just hit 7% down at the open, which is a trigger to halt trading for 15 minutes. Down almost 1900 points.

    A 13% drop is another trigger for a 15 minute trade halt. 20% closes the market for the day.

    The Stats for the COVID19 in the States.

    554 cases
    22 deaths.

    16 of the 22 deaths have been in the Nursing Home in Seattle.
    6 of the deaths are outside the nursing home.

    Subtracting the 16, the death rate in the US so fat is 1.1%, down from the 1.8% I posted just 3 or 4 days ago.

    People bashing Trump are just wrong. Trump quarantined the Grand Princess and through testing discovered 21 people infected. These are the types actions needed. Granted they won’t stop the spread completely, but it is how you contain stuff.

    There's no separating people from their political beliefs anymore. Trump's response has been appropriate, no more, no less, but the never-Trumpers are portraying him like Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

    you've gone full msnbc here....how do you shut down the borders against a virus in the transmission stage? How much travel back and forth from China took place before the outbreak was publicized? throw in an incubation period with flu like symptoms and its no surprise that the virus is spreading, yet you blame trump.

    shut down the borders and you along with any of a dozen low level federal judges would issue an injunction to stop it. Quarantines aren't working as people aren't cooperating with self quarantine measures.... would you have trump confine them to their homes? do you put them in jail?

    just what is your solution and what specifically would you have do differently? btw, the governor of california disagrees with your assessment.

    Gee and Shane said Trump closing the borders was the great step to stop the virus. Which is it MSNBC or Fox? Seems like the messenger is more important than the message in your eyes.

    you're all over the landscape and deflecting....

    of course closing the border would have had an impact. my point was chinese new year happened before we knew there was a virulent strain of the flu originating from there. How many carriers made it to the us through seattle? how many to italy? how many to etc., etc., etc.?

    the "message' is designed to provoke fear and to label this trump's katrina, etc..... the "messenger" seems intent on doing the same..... again, what was it you'd have specifically that trump hasn't done?

    BTW .... it took 6 mo for Obama Almighty to even declare an emergency in 2010 when H1N1 broke out. 13,000 Americans died. And yet, the MSM didn’t make a peep.
