My Father used to say both parties want the same thing, they just differ on how to get there. Not even close to true anymore.
My Father used to vote for the "best" candidate for president and vote the other party for congress. He didn't want one party to get too much power over the other. That way neither could do too much damage to the country. Sound advice and wisdom in his day but not anymore. The democrats have gone from regular politician crooked to stark raving lunatics.

I am a life long democrat but I have gone from woke to fully awake. It was a long and slow process and it took a decade or two. I voted for Trump last time only because he wasn't Hillary. I'll vote for Trump this time because he is doing a good job AND he is not a democrat. I can't vote for any democrat because of the way the party is now. Never mind these so called moderate democrats. Once they get to Washington they all cow tow to Schumer, Pelosi and the squad. Just look at the last batch that got elected at the midterm. I can't risk them getting any more power.
We need term limits and to find a way to take the money out of a seat in Washington.

His only ghost of a chance would be picking a more moderate Dem like Yang or Butthead.

And there are a lot more of you. I can't see any Republicans saying "I think I'm gonna vote for Bernie"

Term limits won’t help. The slime ball politicians don’t have to be in office. They get appointed to positions, hired as lobbyist, or just hitch a wagon to a current serving politician. They are a greazzzzzy lot who have perfected sociopathic behavior. I can’t think of a single politician who came out less or equal in wealth than when they went in. They ALL get rich.
