I didn't say it wasn't true but I wouldn't say it in public if I was running for office. I stop at convenience stores pretty often. Most of the employees in the chain stores are black women who don't know how to act around white people.

Nothing about farming has ever been easy my friend. That attitude wont fly in fly over country.

 

I agree - it was hard work and took significant intelligence to rely on farming over a lifetime to survive and raise a family. This simplistic view that Bloomturd has is telling.

Also, technology makes life easier. Life was much harder back in the day. People actually had to do things. Life took effort.

 

again, he was talking about most of human history. 95% of people were farming. when 95% of people are doing something, they cant all be smart. he is comparing that to now with the info economy. you cant take peasants and send them to MIT. he wasnt trying to insult farmers. he was correctly saying life is more complicated now.

 

That's true but it came off as disrespecting farmers. There are not enough farmers so that he would worry about losing the farmer vote.
