I’m not saying I think it’s good, but apparently, "people of color" need a person of color on the ballot to go vote.

A month ago I would have said the same...and he could certainly prove me wrong and pick one of those "progressives" as you call them. That said, one thing I think we should have learned over the past 3-4 weeks is that the bulk of the Democratic party aren't the wild-eyed socialists you thought we were. Bernie following consisted primarily of young millinials who have never seen the benefits of capitalism. They came of age during the throws of the Great Recession so they've never experienced the wealth that one can amass in a capitalistic system. This makes it easy for them to see socialism as an alternative. This is most definitely not my position but it has become my observation. I also think Bernie's surge was more related to how unpopular HRC was and not so much that Bernie was all that great. No one wanted to vote for Hillary. I think Klobuchar can help him deliver the midwest.
Joe Biden was there for Obama and black folks haven't forgotten that. Biden is unique in that regard, especially older black folks.
