    1. who is "jack"?
    2. you made the statement, it is well documented. I just pointed out that if you look in the right places it can be well documented either way. call it creative bookkeeping, whatever...
    3. stop a minute and look around....this is an internet forum , you have an opinion. You stated it. There is no Onus or requirement for me to prove anything. both arguments can be equally backed up by pulling different sources. does this suprise you? annoy you perhaps? are you going to be able to go on with this?
    4. obviously you feel strongly about your convictions and sources. congradulations.

You really don't have to take this so personal, it just makes me grin from ear to ear.
Do yourself a favor and don't get so worked up. over sources, opinions, dots green and red and the price of watermelon seeds. it just isn't worth it.
There will always be different opinions. no need to start an argument about each and every one. I have noted your opinion and respect it, how's that, Joe? ;)

    RED,
could be right or wrong depending on where you look.
also what exactly makes you think the president drives the entire economy?

We have a house of representatives, a Senate and a president.
and lots of things the right side of the isle are pushing is getting tied up by cry baby bi partisan politics and filibusters.

Wall street, NASDAQ, the commodity market, Houston CEO's and OPEC have more effect on the economy than Bush does.

follow the money RED, after 9-11 we are lucky to be recovering economically as well as we are. Just shows how strong we really are.
pre 9-11 the economy was fine.
We did need to spend money on the military. and i guess in a round about way we did.

err, the economy is horrible right now.

Just as its been since Clinton left office, before 9/11. Not saying Clinton had anything to do with the higher attaining economy, but that's definitely the time it can be traced back to.

I think the economy is doing great. I bought a new house on the lake, couple of new SUVs, new clothes, new toys for the kids. Hey, everything is just fine. Of course, I choose to work hard, pay a butt load of taxes, and spend a great deal of time at the office. Oh well, you have to be willing to make sacrifices. There is nothing wrong with our economy, there is something wrong with our society, that's all. I started with nothing and have accomplished a great deal, with God's help of course. I'm not a 157 either, but, I am willing to work hard and learn as I go. A lot of people today want everything handed to them on a silver plater. We, as a country, have it so much better than our fathers and grandfathers. We just have to be willing to work for it.

Look, I am not trying to brag. I'm just saying that if I can make it with no college degree, finishing next to last my senior class in high school, and spending almost ten years in the Marine Corps Infantry before starting a civilian career, anybody can. What a truly great country we have.

I might can get you in at the job corps if you need it. the economy is fine for people that get up off that arse and go apply. the unemployment numbers are screwed by those that "work" the system. Raping the government with entitlements. Like Morgan Freeman said in shawshank, "they've become "institionalized" We have a whole generation of youth that crosses all race boundaries growing up with no work ethic and the idea that the government "owes" them wages for nothing.

'Jack' is a personal address, often used in lieu of an individuals official monicker, and is reflective of a disapproval or dissatisfaction of the addressee's tact, or lack thereof. Example: 'Hit the road, Jack!'

How can you be so oblivious? No, unless you are believing complete lies, you cannot document it either way. What don't you understand about that? Numbers and math are not politically slanted.

Again, this is not an opinion. It is a statement of facts. This information is not being spun.

And yes, there is an onus for you to prove that these numbers, which are provided by officials and government agencies, are inaccurate if you say they are. That's a pretty basic element of an argument. Spout off about how you think those numbers are politically motivated lies all you want. But until you can show anything that says otherwise, your argument and credibility are non-existent.

First of all, as I just informed you, you have no argument, only an ignorant assertion of what you would like to believe. Secondly, you are not going to 'pull up' any sources (other than yourself) that refute these numbers. But you are still welcome to try.

    Congratulations.

You really need to ditch this tired gig. I don't take any of your nonsense personally in the least bit.

One last time, this is not a matter of opinion. When you take a math test, you do not answer the question with your opinion. 2+2=4, whether you think it should be that way or not.
