I get a kick out of people slamming Fox news. How dare anyone offer conservative news to counter the liberal TV news market, one that has existed since the beginning of TV.

Fox ratings prove that this country wants a different approach from the news they get on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC. You know they are doing something right when the liberals whine about them.

Good for Ted. How anyone could wake up next to her and not beat the crap out of her every morning is beyond me.

When I initially mentioned "mainstream media" I was referring to the former "Big 3". I actually don't watch CNN because of Larry King (something about him creeps me out) so I really can't comment on their news coverage. I do watch MSNBC because I like their documentaries, but I've seen enough of their news coverage to know that they lean way left (Olberman is almost angry about everything conservative).

True that the media is harsh on anyone sitting in the White House, but the venom pointed at this administration is far worse than any I've ever observed. Even Nixon wasn't vilified the way Bush has been.

I do not rely on Fox for all of my news. I read 2 newspapers and scan the internet for daily news breaks. In fact, I only watch Fox News in the morning because Gretchen Carlson is hot.

Sure there may be a liberal slant from some news groups...have these other groups been caught sending internal memo's telling anchors etc how to spin that day's news in favor of republicans?

Maybe it's deserving. Spying on American citizens without going to the courts.....War being a failure.....Republican scandals.....

The spying was not on...Oh, never mind. You cannot debate sensibly with alarmists who think the FBI is going to show up at your door because you called for a tee time 5 minutes early.

The war is not a failure. It's the aftermath and the Iraqi's refusal to get off their collective asses that's the problem.

Republican scandals? That's rich. Does the name Monica ring a bell?

Why would I admit to being wrong? It was your statement that I challenged and you seem disinclined to discuss it any further. I don't blame you.

Who cares if I have nothing to hide. It's alarming that the government was violating CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. Look at the recent news story about the FBI violating the guidelines set in place by the Patriot Act. (http://news.bostonherald.com/national/view.bg?articleid=187579) I don't care if I was ordering the #5 at Kung Pow Chinese....the gov't better have a warrent to listen.

3195 US soldiers, 134 Uk soldiers, and 124 other coalition soldiers sounds like a faliure to me....and what have we accomplished? (since the capture of Sadaam)

I seem to recall this "liberal" media bashing him then.

I don't slam FOX news, I watch it all the time. I even listen to Limbaugh on the car radio some times. It lets me understand where the conservatives are standing on things. Just like NPR tells me where the liberals stand on things.

What I object to is someone trying to tell me that FOX is "unbiased" and "shows both sides" or is a "no spin zone" or "fair and balanced". Give me a break, a child can see that they are a very biased conservative viewpoint.

FOX serves its role as the voice of the right wing and I have no problem with that. Just with those who think it is the one and only truth out there. That would be completely bogus.

I really don't think you have to worry about it, unless Kung Pow Chinese is in Syria or Pakistan.

I fail to understand your point. So f'ing what? You have several other tv networks to get your liberal news. Conservatives only have one choice. Imagine a world where every tv network was conservative. That's the world conservatives lived in until Fox showed up.
