I just wish I can find the Domer I worked with before the Sugar Bowl last year. We got into a smack off and he told me to enjoy watching the Domers slam whoever they played in the NC this year, and I responded with *in the voice of Jim Mora* "NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP... YOU WILL BE LUCKY IF YOU WIN 1 GAME!!!" He seems to have fell off the edge of the earth.
damn dude, you know how prophetic you sounded back then? they indeed were lucky UCLA didn't show up that day.
Never thought it would be true, just wishful thinking then BAM!!! 1-9. Just like I told my Bama friend on Thursday they would end up 7-5 and I am 2 games from that coming true. Btw the lottery numbers this week are going to be: 24-4-17-8-34-10 (bold for PB) :hihi: :LSU231:
I thought someone said $16 Million but yeah he isn't going anywhere. The dude is entrenched their for at least 2-4 more years, and I LOVE IT!!! :geaux:
Believe it or not, this blog is still the minority among irish fans. For whatever reason (current recruiting success, last years success, blind faith, etc.) the overwhelming majority of fans are still giving Weis the pass for this year. My opinion, he is not college football material. I won't get into whether or not he's a good pro coach or not, b/c frankly I don't care. But is has always been obvious to me that his approach to the game does not fit w/ college football. He downplays the merit of emotional play, and spends more time trying to scheme ways to exploit his opponents weaknesses instead of just developing an identity for his football team and sticking with it. Bottom line is he's not going anywhere. Not just because of the crazy 10 yr contract extension, not just because no one else really wants the job, and not just because no coach would lose their job at any other school in the same situaition. It's actually a combination of all of those things. I'm sitting back and just waiting. I've been throught this before. I was a tiger fan in the 90's. I never dreamed LSU would get to where they are now, and that they would ever be able to convince a good coach to take the job, so maybe there's hope for ND afterall.
Theres a lot of coaches that will be available at the end of this season. Thats a fact...ND has the cash to get whoever the hell they want. I,m amazed they haven't stepped up to the plate and threw a bunch of that at one of the "big names"! :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
No discussion about delusional ND fans would be complete without this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Y7yjxJVlc
