I see your point, and it's logical and well thought out... However, I NEVER said that the LSU game was the best game AU played. I said that AU "played as good as they did all year." That doesn't necessarily mean it was the best game. Sure, y'all beat UT and UGA, that's nice. I was looking mainly from a defensive viewpoint. AU pretty much continued that good D thoughout the season; thus, my statement about AU playing "as good as they did all year." The offense usually has too many variables to consider. The QB may of had a bad day because of good defense. He may of had a bad day because of reasons no one knows. So I didn't really consider offense when I said that. Probably should have been clearer.

BB... merely suggesting I could see a day when Saban might return to coach in the SEC, ala the OBC. :thumb:

not sure the UGA game can be factored into AU playing so well. As a person who often makes money going against teams coming off a game circled on their schedule a year in advance, it was inevitable georgia played its worst game possible the following week after the LSU debacle.

after david greene completed his joe montana imitation for 3 hours that saturday, he woke up the following week realizing he was still David Greene who would score no higher than 18 on his wonderlic.

Not sure what your point is...

UGA played Auburn 6 games after they beat yall. Not sure I see the correlation. I think you have your schedules mixed up.

And both teams are ALWAYS up for the UGA-AU game...they are our 2nd biggest rival and we are their 2nd-3rd (pretty much a toss-up between AU, FL, Tenn, and Tech).

It is, after all, the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.

I'll give you this. You Aubbies have a mighty high opinion of yourselves. That 12-0 season has you guys pissin all over each other, gleefully anticipating the treasures that await you next season. Kinda reminds me of the Weenies a few years ago. Thankfully, they are once again grounded in reality...As you Barners will soon be.
