Yes, but you don't know what Deion's plans are for the kid. You assume that he is giong to bring him in and then ignore him. Hell, even if he did do that, it wouldn't be that bad for the kid. It'd be better than what he's got. Also, I wouldn't judge "Neion Deion" by his Atlanta days. In all honesty, the guy has matured a whole lot from his "me,me,me" days.... Answer my original question...
I don't see how or why he would play anything other than RB. I guess he could still be growing and developing, but he is a RB specimen at this point. He has been shredding 5A talent in S. FLA and he'll be in 2A in Texas - can you imagine what his Junior tape is going to look like? I guess if he goes to F$U or Miami he could also play Department Store Lookout or Security Diversion from time to time...
I'm surprised this kid hasn't mentioned USC at all. If you are a top skill player, I don't see how you can't at least look at USC. Hell, even the backup QB got drafted from there...
This kid will look at USC without a doubt. Putting any stock in his Rivals profile this early would be crazy. He will definitely entertain LSU, USC, Texas, OU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others not listed on his profile. LSU may be a darn nice situation when the time comes...
Already answered it. Other families were going to probably take him in thus this whole "poor" aspect is all but done away with.
I've never been a fan of Deion's, but my husband was a childhood friend of Merton Hanks, who played DB for the 49ers in the mid to late 90's. When Mert and Deion were playing together, they became good friends, and apparently, Deion's persona was much different when he was around the team. He was a pretty savvy "businessman", in that he knew how to market himself very well. I hope he does good by this kid, instead of just trying to have an inside track to being his agent in four or five years.
