Nah, I'm not going to preach, I'm just asking a favor. I figure that adults should be able to conduct themselves in a little bit of a better manner, but apparently I am wrong. Our state is hosting the Sugar Bowl, you'd think that it would be decent of us to welcome them and make them feel as at home as we can, again apparently I am wrong.

I came to this board when I found out that LSU was going to the Sugar Bowl because most of my friends don't like LSU because of the fans and I was tired of hearing people bash LSU. I thought I'd come here and get to "talk LSU", yet again... Wrong.

Now, I don't remember any Oklahoma fans coming here and disrespecting LSU or the state of Louisiana in the last few weeks I've been a member. Maybe it happened before I registered, maybe it happened just after I registered and I didn't catch it.

No, I'm not gonna preach to anyone, it's a waste of time. I just ask that a little class is shown, and when we win, show a little more class.

I believe sooners here have been pretty respectable. Go to their sites where they are not concerned about being P.C. and see what they think. With that said these two teams are composed in their coaches and players as a whole to be shining examples of what college football is all about.

Vincent, I'm with you. It never hurts to show good sportsmanship and common decency.

Ok guys, I just told the truth. Someone asked what a Sooner was and I answered it! I didn't come up with some wild imaginary definition intended to inflame anyones sensibilities or insult anyone. There is not one single irrefutable fact in my answer. You don't believe me, get the encylopedia and look it up for yourselves! Oklahomans are proud of their heritage and in many ways should be. This is a great state with much to be proud of and the people are right up there with the people of La. for being some of the finest in the land. I am proud to live among them. But that is how the state came to be and if Sooner fans are honest, they know all the things I said about their football team are true as well.
They know full well the reasons Barry Switzer was run off. He lost control of the program.
If I offended anyone, I apologize. But I don't apologize for telling the truth.
Maybe you should go back and read my follow up and you'll see the respect I have for Bob Stoops and his bunch.

Mike, no offense was taken and no apology neccessary. Yours is an interesting story that has a lot of truth to it. Switzer was no doubt an outlaw of the highest order and I do recall some of his players who during or after their college careers were suddenly introduced to law enforcement officials.

When I agreed with Vince I guess it was in a general sense and not aimed at this thread in particular. My post would be better placed on another thread, but this one is where Vincent made a good point and one with which I agreed. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
