Yep. If we had blown coverages against a team struggling to run the spread-option (AU), we're definitely going to have some problems against a team that has it mastered. It happened last year vs the Gators, so those boys had better get it together.

I agree, quite a few blown coverages. We'll get crucified in Gainesville if it doesn't improve, but I'm convinced it will.

That's almost not fair. As we know, Tebow is "gonna get his." We will have to outscore Florida.

Still, I disagreed with how little Pelini rushed Tebow last year. I think the DB's should be put on an island, and we need to bring it play after play.

    Sing it, sister.

I am with you all the way on that one.

Play to win. It's the only way.

I expect nothing less from the Mad Hatter.

Stacey O has more football knowledge in her little finger than most folks do in their whole body. It is a pleasure to say that I have eaten finger foods at her house...and watched LSU football with her.:D

    I second that.

    She "gets it".

I was going to start the exact same thread.

McCray= has all the physical tools, maybe needs to convert to linebacker. He has the speed, but this kid doesnt understand coverage. You dont line up one on one with a slot receiver in the back peddle stance. Thats how you get beat, figure out which side of the field you are going to push the receiver to and be done with it. But he bit on a double move because of the way he played the coverage.

Peterson= understands coverage, he just got sucked in on that play by the running back.

Hawkins=best cover guy so far, he gets it.

Eugene= played very well, great tackle guy and he has the speed. His awareness is great as well.

The rest of the guys did their jobs. I give them a B+

I think we'll see a wholely different scheme against Tebow unless they get the running game going. He'll get his, but he'll have to do it against a team that will be expecting the pass. I don't think our team really expected Auburn to sling it like they did. They were playing the runs, options and draws.

Between that and the fact that our offense should really be forming an identity by then and will eat clock like tic-tacs and we might see a low-scoring affair by the Gators, with our defense trumping theirs.
