I made some jambalaya a couple of weeks ago. My wife asked me if I was going to put some tomatoes in it. It took a great deal of restraint to limit my response to "No dear".
There are a couple of things N Louisiana should be better known for. Actually both come from Monroe. That’s where Joe Biedenhern who first bottled Coca Cola. It’s also the place Delta Airlines Was started.

Which is exactly why when I meet people that inquire I tell them New Orleans is a tourist trap and not really Louisiana at all. I tell them rent a car and drive about an hour to 90 min west. That is where you will find the true flavor of Louisiana.
