i too spent many years in a military career and lived overseas for a number of years... have probable visited most everywhere mac flights went.... not sure i've been to 31 though...

The fact is that it's true that the perception of Louisiana for people outside the state has everything to do with south of I 10. Nobody from up north has ever asked me anything about Shreveport. They want to know about swamps and alligators. And New Orleans.
