I lived in Texas for few years, Houston. The people were big on being the original Texan everyone else were transplants. I had no problem with’em. I have traveled from the west coast to the east coast you meet assholes every where.

I lived in Houston 10 years and Dallas 10 years Houston is definately more laid back and down to earth. I found a few honky tonks outside of town that were a blast. In town country was a little more like dallas country. Now Fort Worth you better be carefull. Country boys come in and like to fight.
Ive spent a lot more time in the Houston area than the DFW area. If I had to live in one of them it would be Houston.
I have lived in the Houston area since graduating from LSU. I hate everything Dallas except for the leaving Dallas signs on the roads.
Dallas sucks Fort Worth doesn't suck. Houston is better and San Antonio is fun. Austin sucks bunch of liberal a holes. If I had to live in Texas it would be the Hill Country.
