Then why did you quote my post? BTW, did you write War & Peace?

Part of your post sparked a thought and I crafted a much larger point surrounding it.

I'm a writer, so posting here a message like that takes me a couple minutes max for the excessively long posts. It's I'm sure far more time consuming to read it than it takes me to write it, but no to War and Peace. Not yet!

And feel free to ignore my posts for whatever reason you like. Just offering my thoughts like anyone else.

I'm not going to put you on Ignore. I often find your posts thoughtful & insightful. On my two questions. One was semi serious and the other was an attempt at humor.

No worries! I don't have anyone on ignore anywhere, but I totally get why some do and it's probably a better experience for them.

I'm long-winded for sure, annoyingly so my wife would add, so I get a lot of comments daily on my ahem length if you will. Okay moreso my lack of brevity. Whatever you wanna call it, there's definitely less oxygen in the room when I exit.

I think it's a really good community here which is why it's lasted so long. Twitter and reddit really took a massive chunk out of message boards. And the texting culture also I think changed the way we interact. Shortened messages, less tolerance for length, decreased patience, etc. Just a ton of factors impacting us all. This place might be the most civil of all the spots I frequent. The more people the less tolerance and decency seems shown. Factions form. Cliques waging beefs. It's so weird. We had to fight to survive for generations and it's not easy to turn off that kind of genetic coding for sure. . Wait.

Why are you still reading this?!?

It's an abbreviated version of War & Peace. :D
Now that I'm retired with some physical ailments, & damn cold weather, I've got lots of time on my hands. Thus I spend a lot of time here. I'm one of the few people in the USA who doesn't have a cell phone. In my last job I had one and was on call 24/7. When I retired, I said F*ck it. I don't need one. I don't do texting either. If someone wants to reach me they can call me on my house phone or email me. Further proof that I'm old school.

It’s hard to read your posts because I get distracted by your awesome avatar.

No cell phone? No texting? Phone calls?! CO is truly committed to being on brand, no joke lol.

I know I'd prefer to taste the rainbow rather than read my nonsense.
