    They are all trying to get reelected. What is your point?

    This debt ceiling has always been an automatic thing to pay the debts we have already incurred. It doesn't prevent any new spending from happening. Congress can do that with a single bill.

    The GOP is using this to hold the nation hostage to get everything they want. The Democrats have offered $Trillions in soending cuts already. Now they have offered no tax increases and the stupid republicans backed out again! Now they are insisting on stalling government every 6 months to push the agenda of a minority of American voters who are becoming rapidly disgusted.

    The GOP isn't interested in winning this debt ceiling issue. They are openly trying to make Obama actually fail at something, even if it harms the US and all of its citizens. It's a colossal mistake and the beginning of the end of the Republican comeback. They blew it by assuming that control of one half of one branch of government somehow allows them to impose their entire agenda on everyone. They blew it by putting partisan politics above the best interests of the country. They blew it by refusing to cooperate with the other half of the government and working to insure its failure, regardless of the price to the country. It's right out of German politics in 1933.

    See, who is the one dealing? What Democrat in office since these plans were created has put them on the table? This all boils down to Boehner and Cantor and everyone who signed that no tax increase pledge by Grover Norquist, can't crawfish on that pledge, and will not piss off their campaign contributors.

    This president does suck, all he has done since he has been in office is bend to the republican party. Even when they were the minority.

    How about a little funny?

    A plane crashed on a farm in the middle of rural Tennesse.

    Panic stricken, the local sheriff mobilized and descended on the farm in force. When they got there, the aircraft was totally destroyed with only a burned hull left smoldering in a tree line that bordered the farm. The sheriff and his men entered the smoking mess but could find no remains of anyone. They spotted the farmer plowing a field not too far away as if nothing had happened. They hurried over to the man's tractor.
    "Hank," the sheriff yelled, panting and out of breath. "Did you see this terrible accident happen?"
    "Yep. Sure did," the farmer mumbled unconcerned, cutting off the tractor's engine.
    "Do you realize that is Air Force One the airplane of the President of the United States ?"
    "Yep."
    "Were there any survivors?"
    "Nope. They's all kilt straight out," the farmer answered. "I done buried them all myself. Took me most of the morning."
    "President Obama is dead?" the sheriff asked.
    "Well," the farmer grumbled, restarting his tractor. "He kept a-saying he wasn't … but you know how bad that no-good-for-nothing lies !

    Well, it is one thing to not like Bush and blame him, though Obama doubled down on Bush but people still support him even though he does, did and will do what Bush did...
