Politics. They postponed it until after the elections.
They knew it wasn't what the people wanted so they hoped to win the election and then force it down our throats...just like health care. This administration is just typical Chicago politics. Dirty!
You can't get something for nothing. The thing that we all demand from a government must be paid for with taxes.
I don't want something for nothing. I also don't want taxation without representation. We have spent billions on crap nobody needed just to satisfy a campaign contributor or friend of the administration. Manmade global warming crap is a great example of the waste.
Now the GOP thinks that taxes are evil and we can just pledge never to use the foul stuff. The Republican base gets dumber and dumber.
(I guess that means someday they'll be Democrats.) I can see the endgame approaching.
(Okay...I guess Obama's declining numbers and the ass-whiping last November signal the end of the GOP.
)
Don't even use the word "evil" when referring to Republican opinions. The only people using the word evil are the Democrats trying to lie their ass off that people who work for a living are evil. I love how they try to paint a picture that all Republicans have a corporate jet. We're sooooooo evil!
(funny how they never mention how much money Pelosi wasted using military jets as her own corporate fleet :thumb
It's MY money too, don't be a simpleton. Where do you get the notion that what YOU want is what must be implemented?
I only ask for the basics necessary to sustain the nation. I'm not on the side of the aisle who wants money for everything or believes I'm entitled to your money. We can't say GOD yet can spend millions on so-called "art" where someone places a cross in a bowl full of urine and calls it art. That's the kind of crap we need to stop. Building ships in Virginia and sending them to Mississippi for disposal before they ever sailed is the kind of crap I'm talking about. We're spending much more than 1% on unnecessary crap.
I"M not spending anything. If you don't understand how democratic governments work, then there is little point continuing.
You're condoning this wasteful spending so you're part of the problem. How is the admistration's actions considered Democratic? Did we get a chance to review the health care plan before having it forced down our throat? Real Democratic approach there!
The Republicans have been foolish. They won a slight majority in one house of Congress and now seem to think that they have a mandate to enact everything that they have dreamed of for 40 years. The Senate and the President were elected too, but that doesn't seem to matter. The Republicans have negotiated two deals that were favorable to the GOP and then backed out due to Tea Party pressure. They say NO to everything since Obama was elected and the people are noticing.
This is such an old argument and straight out of the Democratic company manual. When the Democrats owned everything they had the attitude of our way or the highway. They didn't seek bipartisanship and laughed at the other side of the aisle. The people spoke up and said enough and the Democrats got knocked down. Now they cry the blues because the Republicans don't agree with them 100%.
The notion of the Republicans saying no to everything is a bunch of crap. It's hard to say NO to Obama when he has failed to ever offer anything to say NO to. He wants an open checkbook and he's not getting it as Pelosi screwed the pooch in the House.
The teabaggers won't allow the GOP to do the business of government, which is reaching compromises to move the nation forward. With them its all about
destroying the other party, at which time they imagine total victory will be theirs forever. Meanwhile our
real enemies overseas enjoy our political self-destruction.
I don't know if the Tea Party (like how you called them teabaggers yet you always point fingers at those who disrepect your party) wants to destroy the Democrats but if so I guess they can use the Democrats own tactics against them.
Boehner and the traditional Republicans will soon have to cast off the Tea Party ideologues lest they allow them to slowly destroy the Grand Old Party.
