I am against the death penalty for three reasons though I do think in some cases it is morally justifiable for the state to put criminals to death.

My issues are 1, capital punishment has failed to deter criminals from committing violent acts, 2. we have adequate prisons that can assure violent offenders can not hurt society again, and 3. prosecutors do not seem to seek the penalty consistently.

I don't really want their eyeballs rolling around on the floor, jeesh someone would have to clean that stuff up. Then the trustees would be using them as marbles and stuff. "Hey I got a blue one!!" I understand your "oh the humanity" POV but eh, I'm not for it. I say they at least deserve the juice.

I'm sure you will come back with a link and some statistics, not that I need to see them. I just don't see how oh a bullet (.15) a shot of what ever the hell they inject them with ($500?) I'd use anit-freeze or clorox or something, or a few thousand jig-a-watts (20 spot), and what (.40) worth of shaving cream and a single blade bic razor to shave their head Can be more expensive than room, food, cable TV, use of the weight yard, training for the inmate rodeo, medical upkeep, education. I'm going with the sizzle Mr Gumbo. I'm going with the sizzle.

Hanging was the method used to execute Saddam Hussein and his cronies.

The last person legally executed by hanging in the U.S. was Billy Bailey in 1996 in Delaware.

Hanging is still an option in the states of Washington and New Hampshire.

My only problem with the death penalty is this:

Since 1973 128 people in 26 states have been released from death row with evidence of their innocence.

With a life sentence, at least if found innocent later a convict can be released, with the death penalty, it's permanent.

    three points---

    you must be a fisherman.

why would you shave someone's head before shooting them?

do you think the supreme court's debates over the death penalty are like this thread?

    1. I have caught a few fish in my day (mostly snappers, ling, and king macks)

    2. You shave their head before you run the "Juice" through them. I suppose so their hair doesn't catch fire which I personally think would be pretty dam funny.

    3. I have no idea what the supreme court does in their debates. I just know I would be on Scalia's side of the argument 90% of the time.
